Well I had been nervously expectant and excited about how this gig was going to go,for any band to lose two key players in one fell swoop, then recover and then expect to go off to play in Denmark's biggest music festival (I believe) and produce the goods is a hell of a big ambition could the new Coast honestly expect to do that? When the guys went up on stage and faced the audience for me at least it seemed strange not to see Chris and Adam there and its sad to think those days are past however things change and constantly evolve and Coast are no exception. The band struck up and in no time at all it was clear that everyone had been putting in masses of effort into the set list that they are going to be taking to Tonder.Yes there were slight hiccups here and there but I certainly am not going to criticize the lads for that, there was a hell of a lot of pressure on Hamish and Russ in particular and all be it I'm a drummer but I thought they both rose to the challenge very well.Hamish kept a good bass line going,Adam is a hard act to follow.(Replace a good bass player with a bad one and you will hear what i mean)Without being in anyway disrespectful Russ is no Chris and he didn't try to be,what he did do is worked his socks off, covered the songs well and also put his own bit of style into the songs and it worked. All in all, in the time Coast have had they have done a good job of putting themselves back together again and I look forward to seeing them again as soon as I can, well done guys it was a good night. Also it was nice to catch up with a few old friends again, nice surprise Dave Ex we just got to keep working on the harmony man

It's great with a fresh view Smile
I am curious to see and experience Coast in Tonder !!
One of my friends call me "hen mother", a Danish expression for a nervous mother, and yes, I feel it like the "boys" as the first school day, now they will meet the LARGE crowd ............ Wink Laughing
It is soooo exciting bounce bounce

Thanks Drew for the great concert review. I was very curious about it.
It seems that the guys made a fantastic gig and now I'm really looking forward to see them next week in Tonder.
I'm also curious about the "own bit of style" of Hamish and Russ and how it all works together.
Matthias.

Tuesday's gig was our 42nd Coast gig and one we were both looking forward to if somewhat a tad nervous. Well we had nothing to be nervous about. Russ and Hamish did the job all the way...........yes they had some nerves but who wouldn't.
They played the set that they will play in Tonder and yes that does include new song "The Beat of You"
