And if I'm right, no group twice either. I wonder what the odds are on that?atislay wrote: 9 CDs, 12 hours of great music and no track twice...
Re: Music Swap
Last night I went to the Christmas party of one of the groups on my cd. They performed an acoustic set. (It was awesome). But can you imagine my surprise when they performed a track by a different group, which is also on my cd
Spooky or what?

Re: Music Swap
Happy new year to everyone, and how are you getting on with the CDs? Has anyone listened to them all yet? I have to confess that I've been a bit slow as I still haven't listened to them all, but I'm nearly there! Has anyone now finally made up their mind as to whose CDs are whose?
Anyway, once you've decided on whose is whose, please PM me before 31st January and I'll announce the winner of the competition during the first week of February. If you want, you might also let me know which were your three favourite CDs, and by dint of some cunning mathematical calculation I'll be able to work out the general concensus as to the three favourites. Is everone happy with that? I'd like to avoid a 1-9 list as that will mean that someone will come last, or indeed second or third last, and feel miffed and humiliated and will probably never want to participate in another of these swaps again!!

Re: Music Swap
I have listened to them all now..... I think I have worked out most of them, with the exception of 2!!!! I just can't make up my mind....
I also have 1 clear favourite and 2 very close favourites, so just need to work out which order to put the 2nd and 3rd one in.....

If people want it, I'd be happy to do so On the other hand, if anyone else wanted to run it I'd be quite willing to stand down.Celtman wrote:DT - Will you do this again this year

Re: Music Swap
As the end of January is now less than a week away, I look forward to receiving everyones' entries into the "Guess whose CD is whose" competition. Please PM me with your guesses - I promise I won't laugh (well, not too much). I know some of you are confident that you've got the right answers, which is more than I would be if I had to guess. And don't forget that there's a prize for the winner!

Re: Music Swap
Yes. there are nine people involved, and the disks are numbered 1 - 9. These numbers, I should add, have no relationship to the order in which people joined the scheme.
Those who took part are (in alphabetical order):
Atislay
Celtman
Data1964
DaveyTee
Jacqui
Linda
Tesadmo
Tiz
Trousers
I look forward to hearing from everyone.

Re: Music Swap
Ok people, here are the results. First, the corrects answers:
1 - Matthias
2 - Tiz
3 - Colin
4 - Jacqui
5 - Tesadmo
6 - Linda
7 - Celty
8 - Me
9 - Trousers
Two people got them all right - Jacqui and Tiz - and i shall be contacting them about their prize
For what it's worth, everyone got Matthias, Tiz and Jacqui right. It seems that I was the most difficult to match - four people got me wrong (how could you with all these 60s songs and other stuff in quite broad Scots, no Gaelic rubbish), and three got Tesadmo wrong.
Now that that's all sorted, any discussion about the CDs would be welcome - but no derogatory comments please!

Re: Music Swap
Hahaha, woooo!
Davey, thanks so much once again for running the music swap! I really enjoyed listening to all the cd's. I found the hardest 2 cd's to work out were Davey T and Tesadmo but the others all had a track on that made me pretty certain who it was. I like bits of all of the cds but I think my overall favourite is Colin's.

Re: Music Swap
Yesssss hehehe. I was convinced I knew before even playing them. The only two that caused me any problems was Martin and Davey T. But the Goats don't shave swang it for me.

Re: Music Swap
It was a great idea and very very well organised By DaveyT well done. It did as I hoped give me more suggestions of good music.
Three cheers to Davey T.
I hope we do do it again but appreciate that maybe someone else will be have to pick up the mantel, but will say that Davey T will be a hard act to follow if he does indeed prefer someone else to take over.
