COAST - Fan Network!

Hi,

I've been talking to Paul about how best to expand the COAST fanbase across Europe and the planet!

We think a good way forward would be to have 'official' fan reps from various countries/territories.

What would being a 'fan rep' entail? (I here you cry!)

Well, I think the first step would be becoming a moderator on here. The next step would be becoming a focal point in your country/area/territory for things like gig logistics, organising fan meet ups, local promotion of COAST activities and initiatives, cadjoling people to sign up to this message board!, etc, etc.....

I've already asked one of our message board members to kick off things in Germany as we already have some movement in that direction (via Paul's Facebook contacts).

So, if anyone fancies joining this 'fans movement' to help spread the word beyond Southern England then let us know and we'll get the ball rolling!

Hi there,
my name is Andrea and I'm one of Paul's "facebook contacts" .
I'm from Germany and my friends Silke, Britta and myself are trying to "spread" Coast a little in Germany. While Silke and I are heading to Scotland today for one week (you know there is this other quite known Celtic band which planned a big festival somewhere in Perth ) Britta already started to contact several clubs, venues and radio stations.
As soon as Silke and I'll be back home we will help her as much as we can.
I know that Paul wants to send some demo stuff to Britta and she is also keeping in touch with Coast's management.
So, if everything will work fine I hope we can welcome the band here in Germany very soon.

Yes I know her, from Scoteire.de and from facebook.
And probably I'll get to know her in person next month in Mainz. As far as I know she'll go to the Guthro concert too.
Maybe we can swap some ideas then ;-)

Hi, i'm a new member since today here.

I wrote with Paul on facebook about a german Tour and i searched for clubs and little locations and wrote contact mails to the locations. Paul will send me some Promo CDs that i can send to german radio stations.

I wrote today on your myspace page from the band that i want to create a german myspace Support Page. But i'm waiting for your answer that this is ok that i will create a german myspace support page for the band Coast. Andrea and Silke can help me with the page cause i have 3 myspace Pages. 1 private and 2 supportpages for 2 Bands

I have forget to say: What do you think about german Admins for this board? We can create german Threads where we can talk about our Promotion in Germany. Cause its for us easier to write here in German.

I want to do this german Admin Job and i'm sure that Andrea -ecosse68, Jutta-cairdeas wants to help me? I don't know if Silke is a member of this board here but if not she will become a member after her holiday

@Martin: do you know last.fm? ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] It's a kind of radio station where everyone can register for free. You can find loads of music there of your taste, find new bands and artists and create a music collection on your profile. Other members can listen to your music, you can connect with listeners from all over the world ( I have a friend in Australia). you can listen to radiostations that play only the music you want ( sorted by artists, genres...) For bands it's a great chance to get their music known to a mass of people who love music and want to find new music.
There is already existing a band COAST there, but they have nothing to do with our COASTIES.

I have no idear how to do that lol. I´m so bad with a computer I´ll try to start a danish Coast group on facebook (after the weekend), and take it from there, maybe my non existing computer skills will improve a bit and I´ll try the hole myspace later or find someone who knows how to!!

Yes ok, give a little bit time to safe the pics and upload it on myspace

I changed the design. I'm not sure if this will be the enddesign of the page. Maybe i will change it over 1000 times in the next days We will see

Hi Anja, i can help you to create a danish myspace site but i can only help you with the Groundpage. But i don't have enough time to update the page.....adding friends.... writing blogs.... I have enough to do with my 4 pages now

Matthias from the German Runrig, Scotland & Ireland Fancommunity "Scoteire.de" created a group on "Wer-kennt-wen". That's the german Facebook Who knows who? It's nearly the same like Facebook but you can't upload in a group music. Facebook is a bigger community and you can play games on facebook and hear music.

The Name of the group is: Coast -Celtic Rock.

Members of Wer-kennt-wen can search for this group and can join it

Thanx Britta for the advertising of my Wer-kennt-wen-Group. Britta and myself are in contact to exchange informations about any news in Coast- and Coast-Fan-Network-subjects. If anyone of the community would like to join the wer-kennt-wen-Group please send me a PM with your personal addy.
