Re: Red Hot Chilli Pipers!
I've only seen them once (on one of those talent shows on the TV last year I think) but I liked them....not the sort of band I would buy recorded material of but would love to see them live. Perhaps a future support band for Coast.....?

Re: Red Hot Chilli Pipers!
I'm not sure if I like them or not!
I wouldn't sit and listen to their music but I would jig about to them in the mud!! (As I did at Borlum!). They are quite like The Dangleberries who I prefer. They are from the same neck of the woods.
Kirkwall City Pipe Band are a traditional pipe band, but have introduced some more funkier music and techniques to their music. They are a great band and the sound from a full pipe band is much better than the likes of the RHCP!

Re: Red Hot Chilli Pipers!
Sorry, but IMHO while they are excellent musicians in their own right, I think that they are just a novelty act, good when you've had a few down the pub, but that's about it.
'Ashleys Thinning Napper', 'The Gael', 'The Ceilidh', 'Top Deck in Perth' from the Parrallel Tracks Album by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards are far better examples of Trad 3-drone pipes and Rock than the Chillies. And the RSDG's version of Auld Lang Sang from that album is sooooo gooood, it just makes me wanna get up and do a Highland Fling round the house. (No you aint getting a video)!
