The Beat of You........News Update

To coincide with a whistle stop tour of European radio stations COAST have brought forward the release of their new single.'The Beat of You', co-written by Paul Eastham and Runrig's Iain Bayne, will now be released before the end of November. The exact date will be announced shortly so watch this space!


The final cut of the single will be mixed on Wednesday 3rd November and will be available in download format only. The single features Wolfstone's Duncan Chisholm on fiddle and Iain Bayne on drums.


COAST's radio tour to promote the single will kick off on Friday 12th November with an appearance on the Ross MacFadyen show 'Thank Folk It's Friday' on Glasgow's Celtic Music Radio. Ross's show goes out between 20:00 and 22:00 and the new single will be played during the broadcast. Several other radio appearances the length and breadth of the British Isles and mainland Europe are being lined-up as we speak - full details to appear here shortly.


The official launch party for the single will still take place at the Soul Cellar in Southampton City centre on Saturday 11th December but will now double up as a celebration party for the hoped for success of 'The Beat of You'! This show is fast heading for a sell out so grab the last remaining tickets while you can!

I was lucky enough to heat the song played, over the phone, on Friday night, and it once more struck me as to how fecking fantastic this song is.

I can't wait to hear the studio version!!! So excited!!!!

The Beat of you is a wonderful track. I really hope that this song will push the band further onwards. It's also just the right time for the release, it suits perfectly into this season now. Looking forward to hear it live in SH in December !!!!

Having heard the band play this live twice I didn't think it could get much better. Well, it did! OK, I'm already a fan of the lovely Duncan so maybe I'm a little biased, but his fiddle playing just took the song into a whole new dimension - absolutley fantastic! Exciting times ahead.

I love especially the whistles at the end of the song.
It's indeed a wonderful ballad !

I am with you all the way Fiddles and whistles give the music another dimension. Coast I love it. Id love to hear more of both and live as well.

Please dont think ill of me but more please. Pretty please and imagine turning stone with more Whistles and flutes and if possible a short instrumental with both inbetween.
