Highs and Lows

HIGHS..

Coast CD on the way ..
Loving riding my bike again ( push bike , 30 miles a day when on days off) ..

Lows....Broken toe,not able to get to Inverness,really fed up was so looking forward to it!


Highs....Got to think about that one......OK Roz and the rest of The P.G Massive still going,hope Roz can get me a signed copy of Turning Stone.Fingers crossed!

Low not in inverness

Poor Col - I thought it was just us!! That was the big Low of the weekend - that we weren't there. However.....

The High was the phone call from Angela so we did get to hear most of "America"!!
"Most" because we were on the road, on our way home from a Collectors Club social gathering near Bristol so had the mobile on hands-free through the SatNav and after it had listened to most of the song, the SatNav decided to throw a wobbly and make a loud buzzing noise which meant we had to disconnect and re-boot the whole thing! It recovered though.

High:- Inverness........ The whole Coast weekend was outstanding. It was so hard to keep quiet about it but worth it to see so many surprised faces.
So many friends there...to many to thank...but special thanks to Martin and Zoe, Colin & DaveyT...Great to meet you both at last, Tiz mate your a legend, big thanks to Paul and the rest of the Coast crew....we love you guys


Low:- due to funds being a bit tight and wanting to go to see Big Country I've decided to sell my Runrig songbook on ebay.......should be up in a few days

Highs: the weather

Lows: being alone up here

High - Went into HMV and bought a Blue Ray player which included the Blue Ray DVDs "Planet Earth" "Life" and "Wonders of the Solar System".....for just £50.00

High - 2nd wedding annivesary this weeken so the blue ray player is out gift to ourselves

Low -------------- Celtic winning the Scootish Cup


High ----- Tomorow is another day

High............Coast being received so well in Cologne

Low............our small minded neighbours that are being complete and utter twats and reported us to noise pollution because our dog barks! I've almost had enough and it has really upset me

High 1: 3 weeks holidays now

High 2: 10 days until Bonfeld (Folk im Schlosshof)

Low: ---

My cousins son has captained England to the U20 world cup final how happy am I.

Hope I can find somewhere to watch it Sunday.

Big high - I went and got myself a proper job!!! One where I can use my brain again and something that is going to challenge me more than what I do in the School!! Sadly I lose the 6 week summer holiday, but get way more money, a bit of travelling around the Highlands and down to Edinburgh.....and for me I will be working for the best people in Scotland.

I am now a Regional Assistant for one of the Highlands and Islands MSP's......oh and he is an SNP MSP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trousers.......watch out, I may gain some proper knowledge!!!!!

More highs - Met the lovely Rob Silvester yesterday in Drumnadrochit for a cuppa. Was nice to meet him after all these years.
Coast are coming north again...
I have discovered how much my friends want to help me and am indebted to one in particular who sat for hours pulling together a fantastic CV for me. And it was all true!!!!
Oh and my new job pays loads more money a month....just got to keep everything crossed at the next Scottish elections........

Lows - been a hellish few weeks for us! Dave being made redundant and me with kidney stones!

High - Dave has 6 week placement in Bognor and I bought a new pair of shoes!!

I have also been invited to do a presentation to the Trustees of the Weald and Downland Open air Museum for the tender of the catering contract. Sh---ing myself! Fortunately for me, darling Daddy is writing the tender and business plan, shame he can't present it as well

Good luck with the presentation - and the tender! Just be yourself and you'll be fine. After all, you have the experience and you know what's involved in running the place.

Practice on Dave, practice on the dog and be prepared to answer any questions they may ask you.

Having said that, I'd be a nervous wreck too!

Highs - Well the Coast gig last week in Strathpeffer was amazing. I think the best I have heard them yet, and The Beat of You, with just Paul and Steve was quite simply beautiful....also loving the guitar intro into Keep Loving...... One week left to work in School before I head off to pastures new......

Lows - Due to everything being against me, I couldn't get over to Stornoway for the Friday gig, which was a big disappointment, but I am grown up enough to know I can't always get what I want!!! Doesn't stop me moaning though!!!!

Highs
1) My god child married last weekend and we had a great wedding.
2) Packing my bag for another long trip to a night at Tonder festival.
Again 1.500 km to see my favourite band and to meet many friends...

Lows
As my god child already married I feel that I'm getting old...

Highs - I am alive and the world is such a fantastic place

Lows - Work and lack of hill days.

Low - after all the crap that Celty and I have had thrown at us so far this year..........my uncle passed away on tuesday evening and I can't remember my last words with him :-(

High - Celty has been offered a full time position at The Listening Company

Sorry to hear about your Uncle, Angela.. xoxoxo But great news about Celty getting himself a job, maybe this is the start of new beginnings.

Highs - Fanbloodytastic friends in my life, who manage to drag me up when I am feeling low.

Lows - What the hell is my mobile phone bill going to be like after not one, but two convos yesterday afternoon that both lasted almost an hour???? But hey, as they say, it's good to talk.

Low - the loss of a young man Andrew Macleod.........Runrigger and Coaster......RIP Andrew xx
