I'm looking forward to it. Any ideas how long you will play there Paul (on friday) ?
I hope that the gig is not too short.
Matthias.

Re: Tonder Festival
I take the risk of sounding like a disappointed and mad middle-aged woman, for that is what I am .......!!
When I yesterday head that Coast NOT playing at Tonder Festival on Sunday, I did not believe it, but quite rightly it was on the Coast Website!
There was no mention here on Fan `s Forum ........ so YES I am disappointed now!
Of course there will be many talented artists, but our buying of tickets and planning has this year been focused on support of the Coast!

I agree with you, Winnie !!! No announcement and no reasons why...winnie wrote:I take the risk of sounding like a disappointed and mad middle-aged woman, for that is what I am .......!!

It's very expensive to go to gigs that are far away from home (train/flight tickets, accomodation, gig tickets, ...)
Fortunately I planned only to join Fridays gig. And I don't do this long trip to see Wolfstone or The Chair, I do it for Coast.

Re: Tonder Festival
Okay, I'm glad to hear That is also what I thought, that there has been an error in Tønder Festival program, but ............
At the front of the COAST website, down in the right corner it says: Please note: Coast are no polaying Sunday 29th August as previosly advirtised!
And so it was I been soooo disappointed

Re: Tonder Festival
Great..... it is now also changed on the website, now reads: Coast WILL also play Sunday at Tonder Festival!!!!
I was just so frustrated, I try to spread the interest to hear Coast on Tonder and then some say they could see that they would not play Sunday .........
I'm now happy again, and look forward to see / hear on Coast Tonder as a child for Christmas

Re: Tonder Festival
Concert review
COAST@Tonder Festival (Denmark) - 27th August 2010
I was confused: queueing at the entrance, a big tent, a lightshow, a great crowd and on the large stage was... COAST. The band that I saw only on small stages in pubs in the past. And now they were on the stage of Tonder Festival 2010 in Denmark with a crowd of 2000+ people !!!
And I was nervous, how would they perform, I thought that they have to be much more nervous than me, maybe the step would be too large...
They entered the stage with sparkling eyes. Only some riffs of Big Blue Sky and the audience have been going wild ! After that they performed rock songs like Docks of our hometown or ballads like Keep loving. I think it was a good mixture of faster and slower songs.
Oceanos... for me it's already THE classic... the audience had to sing together with the band. It's amazing to sing the song together with more than 2000 people !
America was the epic finish of the show, but the crowd wanted more.
They had to come back to the stage for an encore: The beat of you with the acclaimed support of Duncan Chisholm on fiddle.
For me the concert was definitely the begin of the next chapter of COAST, the next step.
Congratulations guys, you really deserved it !!!!
OOOOOOCEEEEEAAAAANOOOOSSSSS

Re: Tonder Festival
I can only repeat what Matthias has already said: COAST broke through on that Friday night in Tonda !!!!!!!!!!!
We Coaster that stood almost on stage, was nervous and it was with bright eyes we ascertainable that COAST got success on their first Tonda Festival, it was sooo great to be there!
Everyone I spoke with after the concert, said with one mouth: They are GREAT!
It was everyone from spectators, the head of the festival, those of staff who hosted Coast and helped them with everything and the radio host who had arranged a radio spot, which unfortunately has not been on, because of a strike on the danish radio. Emergency program host yesterday did not faild, Coast was mentioned and was plying Oceanos. I was told that it wil possibly be that number there will subscribe Coast in danish radio..
Think a german fan who travel 10 hours with train to Denmark to support Coast, and then go home again ...... Matthias you was fantastic
Or those who canceled a Runrig concert for to go Denmark, no they`re not crazy, they are enthusiastic Coast Fan!
I`m sure it was on of the best weekend for the boys as Coast Band, but for us it was also a great experience!
COAST came back quickly....... We want Coast We want Coast
