Monthly chat night?
Hi all,
I was thinking of resurrecting the 'chat nights' we started having on here in the early days....would anyone be up for such a thing?
What evening of the week would work best for people?
Cheers,
Trousers

Great idea,
that would be one thing to "keep the old Coast pot boiling".
I think in the past we had both Sunday and Wednesday.
Just propose one day, but I think a chat on a weekly base would be too much. Monthly ?
Edit: Just have seen that the thread title is "MONTHLY chat", I didn't see that lol...

A Sunday might be difficult as a lot of people listen into Karin Ingram's show online....

Re: Monthly chat night?
Maybe try next Tuesday 25th October as a trial? For me, the later the better so that meals, kids, etc are out of the way. 9pm - 10pm would probably work best for me but conscious that might be too late for our mainland Europeans?

It's a bit late but it's possible. I will definetely join in.
And when I fall asleep you have to wake me up with a very loud OOOOOCEEAANOOOSSSS
We should fix a (this?) date as soon as possible to push it a little bit.

Nice one me ol' mucker!
I'm going to get all organised (for once!) and pop the forum chat box at the top of the forum screen. Just off to check the moist-o-meter for moistness levels.... :-)

Wot ? Haha...
And what are my tasks ?
Do I have to slab your face when you're too rude or something similar to Tiz when he will give too many hugs to the girls ?

It means you can use any of these commands if any naughty boys or girls log in and start posting rude or nasty stuff....
Chatbox commands
/clear Delete the messages from the Chatbox
/cls Same as the '/clear' command
/ban Ban a member from the Chatbox. This command must be followed by the username to ban. (ex: /ban username). Once the user is banned, he won't see neither have access to the Chatbox.
/unban To unban a user from the Chatbox. Its use is identical to ban (ex: /unban nickname)
/me In the beginning of a sentence, this command will be replaced by your username (ex: /me eats a delicious pizza" will display "Nickname eats a delicious pizza")
/kick Disconnect a member from the Chatbox. The command must be followed by the username to disconnect (ex: /kick username). Disconnecting a user won't prevent him from reconnecting.
/exit Disconnect from the Chatbox. You can also precise the reason that will be visible for all members connected (ex: /exit reason)
/abs Send a message noticing that you're absent. You can add a reason that will be displayed in the message and visible by all members connected to the Chatbox (ex: /abs reason)
