The Red Lion - Totton
Well its 1.30am and we have just got back from tonights gig, a 90mile round trip to see they lads....how was it.
There were a few technical problems with Chris's amps tonight but for me it didn't spoil the gig. 15 cracking songs....16 if you count the encore og Big Blue Sky.........and 3 new songs played for the first time I believe
Set List was:-
Big Blue Sky
The Work Song
To The Windward
We Made It
Sepia Eyes
In Scandanavia
These Walls
15min break
Docks of My Hometown
The Turning Stone
Keep Loving
Ruabhal
One Fine Day
The Sword Dance
Oceanos
America
Big Blue Sky (Encore)
Just want to say that The Turning Stone just blew me away...........its a classic

Re: The Red Lion - Totton
I will have to listen to the lyrics on that one.
The song started with a bit of flute(in a celtic style) then into some heavy celtic guitar.......
It was a cracking night........my own thoughts on what to expect from the set list in scotland is probably the same as above with Tam opening the show with Angus....but thats just my guess.
It was good to meet Toyah and her hubby last night......and great to hear that they are going to all 3 gigs in scotland

'On this Day' .... ;-)
The Turning Stone is one of my favourite demos at the moment - can't wait to hear it live.
What were the tech probs with chris's amp Celty? Something temporary I hope?

We will just have to wait and see what they play in Scotland........those were just my thoughts.
I'm just looking through the footage I filmed last night, and I'm putting some bits together for showing on You Tube.

Re: The Red Lion - Totton
Possibly. Only possibly at this stage. Can anyone (Trousers, Celty?) tell us whether it will be a full set like in Scotland or just a few songs?

Re: The Red Lion - Totton
Well we're going to do our very best to be there - I was thinking it'd involve an overnight stay but John says he's made it home from Southampton (not necessarily within the law ) in just over an hour and a half in the past so even in our more sedate and elderly Ka and at strictly legal speeds we could still be home by 2:00am so we may well do it that way.
Looking at all those photos on FB just makes us wish more and more that we could have gone to Scotland so it seems even more important to see Coast live as soon as possible and meet up with everyone (again or for the first time!)
