Bruce Guthro solo

I was to my very first Bruce koncert yesterday.

It's great to see that you liked the concert, Anja. I saw Bruce with the songwriter circle in Tonder some years ago and they all were amazing. I liked the show because it was very different from the RR concerts. They all were pretty relaxed and told a lot of funny stories between the songs. I think Bruce's solo music has not much in common with RR. His latest cd is too 'jazzy' for me ( only song I really like is Jerusalem) but that's just my personal opinion and I think 'Hobo Train' and 'The songsmith' are awesome.
Anyone else planning to see Bruce solo this year?

Completely different

Just like Sabine says "pretty relaxed"
he asked us to sing along, on some of his songs, you know, learning us what to sing!!
And he tells stories about the songs, that`s it about, why he wrote it/got the inspiration!
And he has a fantastic voise and a lot of humor.
he came out after the koncert....got his autograf(is it called that in english?)

You're sooooooooo lucky Anja! I have all his albums, but sadly I think it will be about the 12th of Never when he next plays in Ireland.
(and PS Yes it is called an Autograph in English, dont worry about spelling, your English is better than most of our Danish. Just keep telling us about your concerts, we love it).

Bruce has a danish band with him on tour, and it looks like they have a lot of fun.
Bruce had problems with pronouncing the name of the city ( Randers ) it`s pronounced without the "d" and the band kept saying to him thow away the "D"

Hi everyone

Well two Bruce Guthro concerts-one in Aalborg(3.April) and one in Viborg(4.april).

Two fantastic concerts, once again a Bruce plus band in good form. Lot`s of small talk and canadian charm.

You really fell his songs/ understand the pain, the sorrow, the joy, the humour
And it`s sometimes hard not to cry .....well I got through 3 LIVE versions of falling, without any tears. He sang falling just right in Viborg PERFECT

We are so lucky here in Denmark. 11 concerts this time and he will be back, solo and together with Runrig, later this year

He signed Don`t Go for me in Viborg, a song that means a lot to me personal

the recording quality is much better and the songs are more defined.. it is something that we are all proud of so far , rehearsing the songs have a been a great success so far. there are a lot more big country elements this time. probably more so than runrig on this one..
i guess since we had a bit of a beating from a few SG members we wanted to show that we are not a just a bunch of comics hehe.
even though we dont take ourselves seriously we are still serious about music , so watch this space chaps!!!!!
