Re: Highs and Lows
Highs - I have had the most fantastic weekend, spent in the company of some of the nicest people I have ever met. Thank you all for just being you. The gigs were awesome and COAST are fast becoming my very favourite live band.
Lows - Had to hit reality with a fecking big bump when I got home. And I have to go to work today with the sorest feet in the world.
I want to say thanks to everyone who looked after me this weekend. As some of you know, I am the original "smalltown girl!" and don't cope very well with crowds and big places!! A massive thank you to Randi, who stopped me from being run over in Glasgow!!!!

Re: Highs and Lows
Highs:- Far too many to mention, but to name a few, seeing Andrew, Kit and Pops Huggan, seeing Tiz and Spudbud in Kilts, Debs at her very first Coast gig, meeting Col Yates.........oh and SWEATY ANNIE!! Mongo saying 'half a dozen and meaning two dozen' my 'Arse' almost becoming a crash test dummy whilst crossing the road. Seeing Jinty in her mini kilt (ooer) travelling around the country with four women in the car (not to sure if that was heaven or hell), celebrating David and Anges very first wedding anniversary, seeing big Bri and his family who attended their first Coast gig in Melrose back in Feb, having breakfast with my 'Arse', the great new song 'The Ghost of Dan' which is a true song about the tragic Dan Nolan from Southampton, meeting the wonderful and lovely Randi 'sexy eyes' Jesson, packing down the Glasgow gig in 30 mins so we could all go for a beer, selling a teeshirt and two tickets to a couple that came out to reminise where they used to drink many years ago, who then had a fantastic time, so in time honoured tradition i bought them the CD and told them how to pass on, of which the wife then went and bought a CD for her brother, with the same instructions!! Dave Shaw, wanting to punch out the bouncers lights out.....yes Celty that was a high for me sitting down for dinner with 10 great friends at an Indian restaurant at 1am, 5 toes, and finally....................
Lows:- After dropping the girls back to their hotel and my 'Arse' off at the train station I felt how Tiz did after the Red Lion gig... , I have throbbing ankles still and today tackling bathroom tiles. After reading Pauls status, I am however hoping for some good news..

Re: Highs and Lows
I've been banging on about my weekend, I am going to have to order some more CD's to pass on.
I would like to point out that the "Arse" does have a name and only nearly got run down because some idiot phoned to see where we were, because we were walking too slow!!! He'd have been delighted to see me get melled!!

Re: Highs and Lows
Highs - Have quite simply got the best friend in the whole, wide world!
Lows - Kids and I are all home today. My eldest got his remaining milk teeth removed yesterday. As they weren't falling out themselves, the dentist told me they needed to come out as his teeth were growing in all over the place because there wasn't enough room in his mouth! He got the last 6 milk teeth removed and he's feeling a wee bit sorry for himself this morning, so I let him stay home.
Youngest woke up with my sore throat and chest, so he's back in bed. I feel like crap and am thinking I am going to have to go get my cough checked out, I've had it for over three weeks now, and had only just got rid of it before it came back. I wonder if all my years of smoking have actually done some damage????

Linda, when I stopped smoking - a long time ago - I developed a cough for a month or two. Nicotine dulls the nerves in the tubes and when they become sensitive again, a few months after stopping, the nerves start to work again and try to shift the muck lodged there. This is what I was told, but it's always worth a visit to the quack.
